FC Barcelona Set to Play Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
